Firebirds lose
Three Fremont wrestlers--Chris Osian, Anthony Baza and Chris Healy--made the trip to Stockton to compete in the state wrestling tournament, but none of the three advanced out of the first day of competition.
Osian pinned for a win at 105 pounds, but he lost two other bouts the first day to face elimination. Baza at 137 pounds and Healy at 147 each lost two straight.
Vikings return
The Vikings will return to Lynbrook on March ... at least, those Vikings who played baseball in seasons past at the local high school.

Rugby sign-ups
The Silicon Valley Rugby Football Club is looking for high school-age players (14-18) from the Sunnyvale area. Players will be trained, so no experience is necessary
Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays. League play runs through April with matches to be played on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
