City of Sunnyvale presents Evening of Cultural Arts
Laurie Lewis will perform on March 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. as part of the Evening of Cultural Art Series 2002, sponsored by the city of Sunnyvale. Lewis is a gifted writer, singer, multi-award-winning champion fiddler and Grammy nominee. Along with partner Tom Rozum (mandolin/guitar/vocals), Lewis will perform instrumentals interspersed with thoughtful vignettes on contemporary life.
Tickets are $20 general admission, $18 seniors and students. The performance will be held at the Sunnyvale Community Center Theatre, located at 550 E. Remington Drive, Sunnyvale. For more information, call 408.733.6611.
Friends of the library to hold book sale on March 23
The Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library will hold a spring book sale on March 23 at the Raynor Community Center, 1500 Partridge Ave. Members of the Friends may enter at 9 a.m.; regular hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and bargain bag sales are from 2:30 to 4 p.m. For more information, call 408.736.9128.
