Board of Education to host forum
The Sunnyvale School District Board of Education is hosting a public forum on the education budget for 2001-2002 and beyond
The forum will be held at 7 p.m. on March 20, 2001 in the Board of Education room located in the district office at 819 W. Iowa Ave., Sunnyvale. The agenda includes a State of the District address by Superintendent Joe Rudnicki and a report on the short- and long-term budget by Deputy Superintendent Ben Picard.
At 8 p.m., the entire audience will be broken into groups of six to eight people for "table top discussions"--each facilitated by a member of the district administration.
The purpose of the forum is to share information and hear input from the community to assist the district in establishing budget priorities for the future. They invite all interested residents to attend.
Committee to hold forum on March 27
The County of Santa Clara Redistricting Committee will hold a public hearing on the matter of the redistricting of county supervisorial districts on March 21 at 7 p.m. The county must redraw legislative boundaries every 10 years to reflect population changes. The county requests public involvement to ensure that cities and communities of interest do are not unnecessarily divided between multiple districts.
