Sunnyvale receives Measure B funding

Del Monte building honored





    Public Safety

    Possession--500 block of Romberg Drive. During the month of February, the Sunnyvale Narcotics unit began an investigation into a household's activities. The investigation concluded that methamphetamine was being sold there and converted into "ice." In total, five suspects, four males and one female were arrested for possession with intent to sell.

    Grand Theft--Mar. 9, 4:50p.m., 1200 block of Lawrence. An employee of Federal Express was caught on surveillance camera entering the facility's storage cage, where packages are held. The suspect took a laptop without any legal reason and placed it in his backpack. The suspect was arrested.

    Defaced Serial Number--Mar. 8, 3p.m., 500 block of E. Duane at Worley. A 28-year-old suspect was determined to be in possession of a motorcycle with the engine and frame serial numbers removed by defacing. During a residential search, 13 marijuana seedlings and a pair of metal nunchucks were discovered.

    Battery--Mar. 8, 7:15p.m., 100 block of S. Mary and Evelyn. A 19-year-old male was arrested on two counts of battery and domestic abuse.
