The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Trespassing--March 6, 8:15 p.m. A Sunnyvale public safety officer responded to a suspicious-person report on the 900 block of Astoria Avenue. The officer received another call that the man was on his way into the house the person who was calling in the reports. The man was contacted by the officer outside of the house and found to be under the influence of heroin. He was arrested and booked into county jail.

Verbal Threat--March 12, 5:00 p.m. A transient male was arrested for being drunk in public at the National Guard Armory shelter at 620 E. Maude Ave. He was reported unable to be cared for by the staff. While an officer took the man into county jail for booking, the man threatened to "get" the officer's family, and then gave him false identification in an attempt to deter the officer from booking him. He was charged with obstructing an officer with threats of violence, being drunk in public and giving false I.D. to an officer.

Check Fraud--March 12, 12:10 p.m. A woman was apprehended by Costco store security at 150 Lawrence Station Road for check fraud. She had gone into three different Costcos, writing bad checks for more than $4,000 in various merchandise. She is accused of returning the merchandise for cash refunds at different Costcos around the area. Upon her arrest, she was found to be a parolee at large.
