Acclaimed Choraliers host concert for Our Daily Bread
The internationally acclaimed Choraliers of San Jose State University will give a benefit concert for Our Daily Bread April 7 at 3 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The concert will be a tribute to their volunteers and will mark the program's 19th anniversary.
The Choraliers will perform a range of sacred music for Easter and popular songs from their recent tour of the Hawaiian islands.
The church is located at Sunset and McKinley avenues in Sunnyvale. A $10 donation is requested per ticket. Everyone is invited and ordering tickets early is encouraged, as seating is limited and the concert is expected to sell out. Tickets are available from the church office at 408.736.4155.
FUHSD Adult Education hosts citizenship class
Fremont Union High School District Adult Education will host an English as second language and citizenship Interview Preparation class April 6 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. This one-day class will help students prepare for the citizenship interview. The class is for students who are legal residents with five years of resident status and is best for those who have submitted the N-400 form or will do so in the near future.
The class will have mock interviews to practice answering questions about American history and government, answering questions about the N-400 form and writing simple sentences that are dictated.

Lions celebrate their 70th
The Sunnyvale Host Lions Club will celebrate their 70th anniversary on March 22. In 1932, 20 Sunnyvale community and business leaders were chartered by the International Lions Club to form the local club. The club has served the needs of the many residents by providing sight assistance for the needy. Currently, the club has 24 members.
The anniversary dinner will be at the Del Monte Building on Murphy Street at 7 p.m. For more information, call the current president Bob DeUnger at 408.378.1568.
