    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Auto Burglary--March 4, 1:46 p.m., 1200 block of Lakeside Drive. An officer responded to a report of a burglary of an automobile in progress. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the victim. Two suspects were seen near the victim's car, one suspect inside the car. Suspects fled when confronted by the victim. One black vinyl duffel bag worth $20 was taken, with a checkbook organizer worth $50 and miscellaneous clothing worth $50 inside it.

    Auto Burglary--March 4, 9:39 p.m., 1200 block of Vicente Drive. An officer responded to the above location to investigate a reported auto burglary. Once inside the car, the suspect had released the trunk hatch and removed the spare tire, worth $50, from the trunk. The suspect had then fled the area.

    Residential Burglary--March 5, 7 p.m., 1200 block of Poplar Avenue. Three suspects entered the locked apartment building at the above location. The suspects entered the apartment and walked out with the victim's Sony Play Station and a knife while one suspect waited outside. All suspects fled the scene.

    Check Fraud--March 5, 160 block of E. Fremont Avenue. The reporting party stated that a check was transacted at his place of business on or about Feb. 14. It was drawn on the Sovereign Bank of New England account to a framing company. The check was made payable for $731.56. It was later returned stamped "refer to maker."
