    De Anza wins

    Becca Kane and Kia Mjolsness each won twice to lead the De Anza Community College women's tennis team to a 6-3 Coast Conference win over Cañada last week.

    Kane was a 6-1, 6-3 winner at No. 1 singles and Mjolsness won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, then the two combined for a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles to lead the Dons to the team win.

    Diana Keh posted a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles and the Dons won two matches by default.

    Pop Warner Ball

    Sunnyvale-Cupertino Peninsula Pop Warner signups for football players and cheerleaders ages 7-15 are now being accepted. For more information, call 408.737.9972 or 408.744.0840, or check the Web site at www.svpopwarner.com.

    Adult sports

    The city of Sunnyvale is currently holding registration for its adult basketball, softball and volleyball programs.

    The cost is $560 for the 10-game spring basketball league, $380 for the seven-week softball season and $250 for the eight-match volleyball campaign. Each entry fee includes any playoff games, and there is a $10 fee charged for each non-resident.

    De Anza Force

    The De Anza Force, a girls under-9 Class 3 soccer team, is looking for players for the upcoming season. Players (born after July 31, 1992) will play under-8 in the spring and under-9 in the fall of 2001. Call Jolene Keel at 408.910.9299.
