Sunnyvale AYSO to hold fall signups

The spring baseball season may be just beginning, but it's not too early for young athletes in the area to start thinking about the fall soccer campaign.

The Sunnyvale AYSO will hold soccer signups for the fall season for boys and girls ages 4 1/2-18 (born after July 31, 1980, and before Jan. 31, 1994). Signups will be held May 2, noon-5 p.m., at the Ortega Park Recreation Building; May 13, 7-9 p.m., at the Lakewood Park Recreation Building; May 30, noon-5 p.m., at the Town Center Courtyard; and June 13, noon-5 p.m., at the Ponderosa Park Recreation Building.

Players must provide the following at registration: names of family doctor, health insurance company and emergency contact person; a passport-sized photo for player pass; and proof of age (for players who did not play last season).

The league is also looking for adult volunteers to serve as coaches and referees. Free classes will be provided.
