    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    False Report-Bomb Threat--March 14, 12:30 p.m., 1200 block of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Avenue. The suspect told fellow students that he was planting a bomb on the high school campus at the above location. The students came forward and reported the statements to the principal.

    Kidnapping--March 13, 12:57 a.m., 1100 Ayala Avenue. The suspect forcibly carried the victim about 200 yards. The suspect forced the victim into an abandoned car and prevented her from leaving. The victim finally escaped. The suspect was later arrested at another location on the same street.

    Unlawful Possession of Weapons--March 12, 2:54 p.m., Town Center Lane. The reporting party observed the suspect carrying and throw knives on a sheath on his belt and concealed from view, when the suspect was speaking to her at the food court in a mall at the above location. The reporting party contacted mall security, who contacted public safety. Officers located and detained the suspect. After officers conducted a pat search and consensual search of the suspect, they found throw knives concealed on his body. The suspect also had a lock pick set in his possession.

    Auto Force Burglary--Mar. 10, 5:11 p.m., 1100 block of El Camino Real. The suspect forced entry by pushing the passenger seat window down. A Sony MP3/CD player worth $500 and 50 CDs, worth $200, were removed.
