    Community Business Faire

    The Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce will host the Community Business Faire 2001 on April 6, from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 E. Remington Drive. The faire provides a hands-on atmosphere in which businesses of all types can exhibit and demonstrate their products and services, not only to potential businesses but to the community at large. Seminars during the faire will include tips on home safety, healthy living, how to improve a small business, how to do business with the city of Sunnyvale and more. Admission to the event is $5.     Bone Density Testing

    The Foundation for Osteoporosis Research and Education will hold bone density testing on April 9, from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Longs Drugs, 1675 Hollenbeck, Sunnyvale. Cost is $30 for the painless, noninvasive scan of the forearm. No appointment is necessary, but the testing will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis.     Tea with the Aquanettas

    The Aquanettas Woman's a capella Quartet will host the High Tea singing event on April 8, at 4 p.m. at the Sunnyvale Community Center, 550 Remington Center, Sunnyvale. The wacky and talented singing group will perform in beehive hairdos, silver platform shoes and outrageous outfits to benefit the Support Network for Battered Women. Cost for the event is $25 per seat, and tickets must be purchased in advance. For tickets, go to www.aquanettas.com.

    Ukranian Egg Painting

    The Sunnyvale Senior Center is hosting a day of egg painting on April 7, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the senior center, room 201. Pysanky--Ukrainian Easter eggs--are hand-decorated eggs made with an ancient wax resist process. No artistic background is necessary. Participants must bring 12 white eggs, raw and not refrigerated, four plain votive candles and a pencil. Cost for the workshop is $15. To preregister or for more information, call 408.730.7360.

    Promoting Heathy Living

    On April 5 The Marianist Center will host a healthy living workshop led by Esther Johnson from 7 to 9 p.m. The workshop will include relaxation techniques through visualization and imagination. Cost is $15, advance registration is required. For more information, call 408.253.6279.
