    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Hit and Run--March 27, 10 p.m., Fair Oaks Way and Homestead Road. A 57-year-old man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and for hit-and-run.

    Petty Theft--March 27, 4:20 p.m., 200 block West Iowa Avenue. A 33-year-old female picked up a discarded receipt from Wards outside the store, found the item on a display rack and brought it with the receipt to receive a refund from a cashier. She was arrested outside the store. Police also found a pair of boots in her possession that she had previously shoplifted.

    Controlled Substance--March 30, 2:20 p.m., Wolfe Road and Evelyn Avenue. An officer stopped a vehicle for an expired registration and found the driver to be unlicensed and on parole. During a search of the car, officers found rock cocaine in a film canister on the passenger's seat. Both the driver and passenger were arrested.

    Domestic Abuse--March 26, 10 p.m., 1300 block Sprig Street. A 28-year-old man was arrested for spousal abuse.

    Possession--March 19, 2:30 a.m., Mary and Valencia avenues. A 26-year-old male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, paraphernalia, and for driving without a licensee.

    Child Abuse--March 22, 9:50 p.m., 500 block Duvall Court. A 53-year-old man was arrested for abuse of a 16-year-old.
