    Public Safety

These incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

Providing Drugs to Minor--April 3, 1:38 a.m., 700 block of Daffodil Court. A 19-year-old man was arrested for giving marijuana to a 14-year-old.

Car Theft--Between 4 p.m. on April 1 and 6 a.m. on April 2, 600 block of Kirkland Drive. Unknown suspect(s) entered a locked car in a carport and took a computer case with a computer, paychecks and a checkbook inside. The victim had locked his car the night before, but, before going to work the next morning, he saw that the passenger-side window had been rolled down. There were no signs of forced entry. Police estimate the stolen property is worth $5,400.

Burglary Attempt--Between April 7 at 10:45 p.m. and April 8 at 5 a.m., 100 block East El Camino Real. Unknown suspect(s) attempted a burglary at Toys-R-Us by breaking into a trailer parked next to the store. The trailer had been unloaded, so nothing was taken. The suspect(s) fled the scene. Two similar incidents occurred in December and January.

Possession of Weapon--500 block N. Pastoria Avenue. Various weapons were found in a 34-year-old's car. The man had a psychiatric history and had made veiled threats to former co-workers. He gave consent to search his bedroom, where public safety officers recovered several other weapons and tracer ammunition. He was arrested and placed under psychiatric evaluation.
