Fremont wins two of three in SCVAL baseball division
The Fremont baseball team returns to action in the El Camino Division of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League this week after winning two of three games last week in the Valley Christian Crown Classic.
The Firebirds, who top the El Camino Division standings with a 12-0 record, ran their season mark to 15-8 last week with back-to-back wins over Sacred Heart Prep and Cupertino.
Ron Cerda doubled home three runs and Brandon Klein drove in two runs in Fremont's 6-0 win over Prep last week. Vince Klumper was the winning pitcher, tossing a three-hit shutout to run his season record to 3-2.
