    Public Safety


    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Auto Burglary--April 17, between 2 a.m. and 10 p.m., Crescent and Michelangelo. An unknown suspect used a screwdriver to pry open and break the right rear passenger's window. A CD player and remote control were taken. One set of prints was taken and booked into evidence for processing.

    Possession of Fictitious Check--April 16, 5 p.m., 700 block of El Camino Real. The suspect attempted to pass a fraudulent check at the Wells Fargo branch inside Safeway. The check appeared to have been dipped in acid to remove the previous information.

    Battery--April 15, 9:42 p.m., Fair Oaks and Olive. A 26-year-old male was arrested for battery, resisting arrest, and outstanding warrants for previous domestic violence charges.

    Possession of a Weapon--April 16, 9:50 p.m., 800 block of Birch Avenue. A 30-year-old male was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon, a switch blade, and for being an unlicensed driver.
