    Mena, Searles win all-conference honors

There were many talented baseball players competing in the Coast Conference this past spring, but none more talented than Adam Montarbo of West Valley Community College and Bryan Grochol of Cañada.

At least that's the way the conference coaches saw things when they named the two baseball stars the most valuable players in the two divisions of the Coast Conference--Montarbo in the Southern Division, and groucho in the Northern Dicision.

Pitcher Javier Andueza, catcher Jo Jo Quinata, infielder Melvin Souza, outfielder Donovan Minero and designated hitter David Dudley were Vikings named to the all-conference squad.

Honorees or San Jose City College were pitcher Brad Husted, infielder Ryan Ceriani and outfielder Jeff Warney.

De Anza Community College placed a pair of players on the list with pitcher Jesse Mena (Cupertino) and designated hitter Kevin Searles each winning post-season honors.
