The following incidents were culled from reports filed by the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
Vandalism--May 12, 3:20 p.m. A suspect at the Motel 6 in the 700 block of Mathilda Avenue became upset when maids asked to clean his room. The suspect threw a can of shaving cream through the window and fled the scene. Officers arrested the suspect later and charged the suspect with vandalism.
Obstructing investigation--May 17, 9:52 p.m. A patrol officer stopped two male teenagers riding their bikes in the 600 block of East El Camino Real for not using headlights after dark. When the officer checked the bicycle identification serial number, the officer noticed three numbers were scratched off. After the suspect gave a faulty address and home telephone number, the officer cited the 19-year-old male with obstructing the investigation of an officer.
Concealed firearm--May 17, 4:15 p.m. After stopping a man for a traffic violation in the 200 block of Weddell, officers arrested a 34-year-old male suspect for carrying a concealed firearm that was loaded.
Assault with deadly weapon--May 11, 2:00 p.m. A 38-year-old male was arrested in the 700 block of All America Way and charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, terrorist threats and attempted kidnapping. No bail has been set.
Sale, possession--A 35-year-old male was arrested in the 300 block of Timber in Mountain View and charged with possession and attempt to sell an illegal substance. Bail has been set at $40,000.
