Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.
Vandalism--graffiti--April 28, 9:51 a.m., 700 block of San Justo Court. An officer responded to the above location to investigate a report on vandalism. The suspect had used a black felt-tip pen to write "SNR," "VGS," "CONEJO" and "13" on the door of a carport. There were no witnesses and there are no suspects.
Grand theft--April 28, 9:02 a.m., 600 block of S. Fair Oaks Avenue. Between 6:30 p.m. on April 27 and 7:45 a.m. on April 28, the unknown suspect(s) committed grand theft. The victim left his vehicle parked in the underground parking garage at a building. When he returned to his vehicle the next morning, his vehicle was up on blocks and the tires and wheels were gone. The vehicle was dusted for fingerprints but no identifiable fingerprints were obtained. The estimated loss for the tires and wheels is $3,600. Four BMW HS wheels, worth $2,200, and four tires, worth $1,400, were taken. At this time there are no suspects or leads.
Petty theft clothing--April 27, 3:18 p.m., 200 block of W. Washington Avenue. The suspect was observed by the department store security staff at the above location entering the dressing room with clothing items. The suspect was observed putting on two pairs of jeans. The suspect put his sweat pants on over the jeans and exited the store without paying for the jeans.
