    Public Safety

    The following incidents were taken from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Possession of weapons-May 12, 2:40 p.m., on the 600 block of Weddell Drive. A suspect was found possessing an illegal weapon. After being contacted in a suspicious vehicle to the rear of a closed business complex, the suspect consented to a search of his vehicle. Brass knuckles were found in the passenger seat. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

    Grand Theft-May 11, 12:30 p.m. on the 800 block of Mary Avenue. An unknown suspect removed a laptop computer from the victim's desk at work without his knowledge. Neither property nor suspect has been located.

    Resident Burglary-May 9, 1:30 a.m., on the 1300 block of Avocet Way. An unknown suspect entered the victim's home and stole a purse containing contents while the victim's was there sleeping.

    Grand Theft-May 11, 4:40 p.m., on the 680 block of Kifer Road. At a local business, two suspects took $600 worth of circuit breakers to the front cashier and attempted to return them without a receipt. After being denied, both suspects fled with the stolen merchandise out the front door and hopped into their vehicle without paying.
