Sunnyvale is an American city
I agree 100 percent with the letters in the May 22 issue of The Sun concerning the street name change. Dudley McFadden, Peter Cirigliano and Eugene and Margaret Gear said it all.
I have been a Sunnyvale resident for 22 years and am British. I wouldn't dream of asking the Sunnyvale City Council to change a street name to a British name. I do not live in that area of Sunnyvale but feel very strongly about any group of people coming into Sunnyvale and asking for a name change.
Sunnyvale is an American city and should remain so. Just the fact that the council is even considering the request is ludicrous and a waste of their time.
