    Sheriffs need help to solve case

    The Santa Clara Sheriff's office is asking for help in solving the apparent murder of Hiep Hoa Nguyen, 44. He was found, with major head injuries, on South Felipe Road in south San Jose by a motorist. His license listed his address as Sunnyvale, though the Sheriff's office says the address is no longer valid. Sheriff's deputies are looking for anyone with information about Nguyen.

    Bike safety rodeo coming up

    Sunnyvale Public Safety is hosting a Bicycle Safety Rodeo for kindergarten through sixth-grade students at Columbia Middle School on Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

    There will be a bike safety course, equipment safety inspection stations, a bicycle licensing.

    The visual highlight of the event is a high-flying BMX bike stunt demonstration of tricks. The CHP will also land one of its helicopters.

    Book sale to benefit library

    The Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library will hold its Spring Book Sale on Saturday, June 24, at Raynor Community Center, located at 1500 Partridge Ave in Sunnyvale. The sale is open to members of the Friends at 9 a.m. and to the public at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. For more information, call Bob Harms at 408.736.9128.
