    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

    Indecent Exposure--May 28, 5:11 a.m., Hollenbeck and Remington Avenues. Police officers arrested a 35-year-old male for indecent exposure.

    Attempted Residential Burglary--May 27, 11:28 a.m., 700 block of Steuben Drive. The male suspect rang the resident's doorbell, and the resident looked through the peephole but did not open the door. The suspect then rang the doorbell two more times and the resident then heard a clicking noise, like something being inserted in the lock. The resident started screaming and the suspect fled on his bike.

    Petty Theft--May 29, 1:50 p.m., 300 block of South Sunnyvale Avenue at JC Penney. A security officer observed a shopper place a necklace into a Nordstrom bag while shopping, buy several other items and leave the store without paying for the necklace.

    Auto Burglary--Between 8 p.m. June 1 and 10 a.m. June 2, 800 block of West Olive Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the victim's car by smashing the rear side window. The suspect(s) then took the car stereo and several CDs, totaling $430 in damages.

    Battery of Officer--May 24, 12:33 a.m., 1200 block Samadra Street. Police arrested a 46-year-old male for the battery of an officer.
