Ellis School Principal Christine Muzik moved up in the world--all the way to the school's rooftop--on June 3 to keep a promise to her student body. It seems Muzik challenged her students in September to read 5,000 books this year, and proclaimed she'd eat lunch on the roof in a wacky costume if they came through. Well, the students came through, and Muzik climbed up. Learning resource specialist Cathy Drozdenko teamed up with Muzik to promote the idea, and kept track of the count of books read. The idea worked so well, maybe next year Muzik should offer to shave her head (in which case, she'd better hold onto the hat).
