    Art Club Monthly Meeting

    Registration open for home composting basics program

    The Home Composting Education Program for Santa Clara County, in conjunction with the city of Sunnyvale, will host a composting basics sorkshop June 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sunnyvale Community Center Arboretum, 550 E. Remington Drive, Sunnyvale.

    Sunnyvale residents can purchase a low-cost composting bin following the class. Preregistration is required for this free event. Call 408.730.7262.

    Women encouraged to 'Take Good Care'

    Women are invited to "Take Good Care of Yourself" in a summer program on June 30 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Jude Episcopal Church, 20920 McClellan Rd, Cupertino. Marietta McGannon of Mercy Retreat Center will lead the morning session on "biofocusing" and Joann Heinritz of the School of Applied Theology will lead the afternoon session on "body praise." Cost for the seminar is $35 or $17 for low income participants. The registration deadline is June 22. For reservations or more information, call the Catholic Women's Network at 408.245.8663.

    Effective managment class open for registration

    The Marianist Center of Cupertino will host a two-day workshop for people who manage or direct others, June 18 at 8 a.m. through June 19 at 4 p.m. The workshop will use the Myers-Briggs type indicator to examine personality differences that impact the way people approach work, process information, make decisions and interact with co-workers. Cost for the seminar is $128 and advanced registration is required. Call 408.253.6279.
