    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Petty Theft-June 2, 11:30 a.m., 200 block of Lawrence Station Road. Suspect entered store with a small utility knife and empty handbag that she used to conceal items removed from larger packaging materials. Suspect then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.

    Vandalism-June 2, time unknown, 900 block of Russet Drive. An unknown suspect spray painted unrecognizable symbols on a recreation room window and in restroom stalls. Red, silver and black markers were also used.

    Robbery-May 28, 6:30 p.m., 900 block of Duane Avenue. Purse snatching occurred outside local grocery store. Suspect grabbed purse from under victim's arm with moderate force. He then fled to a red Honda where another male was waiting in the driver's seat.

    Drug Bust-May 30, 1:10 a.m., corner of Duane Avenue and San Rafael Avenue. Vehicle was stopped for expired registration. During inventory search of suspect's vehicle 0.5 grams of marijuana were found. Suspect was booked at the county jail.

    Grand Theft-June 1, 11 p.m., 900 block of El Camino Real. An unknown suspect removed all four tires and wheels from victim's vehicle while parked in a public lot.
