Youth Soccer
Teams are now forming for the upcoming fall youth soccer season. Sunnyvale leagues now holding signups include:
Sunnyvale Alliance-- Registration is now being accepted for boys and girls ages 4-13. For more information, call 408.733.5425 or e-mail sasc_2000@yahoo.com.
Sunnyvale Spartans-- Players are needed for the class 1 boys under-12 team. Tryouts are now being held for the fall season for boys born after July 31, 1989. For more information, call Julio Castillo at 408.720.1882 or e-mail jch_2000@yahoo.com.
All-Comer Meets
Los Gatos will host the 22nd annual series of summer All-Comer Track and Field meets on the high school track.
Meets are slated for Thursday evenings (June 28, July 5, 12, 19 and 26, and Aug. 2, 9 and 16). Pole vault competition begins at 5 p.m. with the rest of the field events getting under way at 5:30 p.m. Track events begin at 6 p.m.
The entry fee is $3 for unlimited events, and the cost is $2 for spectators. Proceeds go towards the upkeep and resurfacing cost of the Los Gatos track.
Adult Sports
The city of Sunnyvale is holding registration for the upcoming adult volleyball and softball league seasons.
The volleyball season includes eight matches plus playoffs. The cost is $250 per team, plus $10 for each team who is not a resident of Sunnyvale.
The softball season includes seven games plus playoffs. The cost is $380 per team, plus $10 for each non-resident.
