Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

Possession--June 5, 7 p.m. A 29-year-old male was stopped at the corner of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road and Fremont Avenue. A probation search revealed the suspect was carrying 31.9 grams of methamphetamines and 7 grams of marijuana.

Auto Burglaries--June 5, 7 a.m. A string of auto break-ins occurred along the 400 block of Acalanes Avenue and the 1200 block of Vicente Drive. Six break-ins occurred in one evening, causing more than $700 worth of reported property damage. Police do not have any suspects.

Possession--June 7, 3:03 a.m. A 27-year-old male was arrested on the 800 block of Fremont Avenue for being drunk in public, resisting arrest and carrying less than one ounce of marijuana.

Possession--June 5, 5:30 p.m. Officers spotted a suspect who was wanted for outstanding warrants driving on Fair Oaks Avenue near Calienta Drive. Officers made a traffic stop and searched the car, removing 5.2 grams of methamphetamines from the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were arrested and booked into jail.
