Summer basketball

A pair of summer basketball camps for boys and girls ages 8-16 will be held in June and July at the Monta Vista gym.

The Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department will host the camps June 24-28 and July 22-26. Camp hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day, and the cost is $115 for Cupertino residents and $135 for nonresidents. A $10 discount is offered to players signing up for two sessions and there is a $20 discount for players signing up for all three sessions.

Burton hosts camp

West Valley College men's basketball coach Bob Burton will head up the annual West Valley Boys' Basketball Camp this summer at the school's Saratoga campus.

The cost is $85 per session. For more information, call Burton at 741-2173.

Soccer signups

The Sunnyvale AYSO soccer league is currently holding signups for the fall season. The league is open to boys and girls ages 4 1/2-18, and players with disabilities are welcome.

Parents of new players must provide a birth certificate, and the registration fee is $35. For more information, call 739-2976.

Alliance soccer

Sunnyvale Alliance will hold tryouts for its under-16, under-18 and under-19 boys' select teams at Cupertino Junior High School.

Under-16 tryouts will be held Wednesdays and Fridays, 6-8 p.m., and under-18 and under-19 tryouts are set for Fridays, 5:30-7:30 p.m., and Saturdays, 3-5 p.m.

Youth football

The Sunnyvale-Cupertino Pop Warner football organization has scheduled signups for the fall season for boys and girls interested in becoming players and cheerleaders.

Signups will be held July 13, 9 a.m.-noon, at Fair Oaks Park in Sunnyvale. For more information, call 737-9654.
