Alliance soccer
The Sunnyvale Alliance Soccer Club will hold signups for the 2000 season on June 25, 1-4 p.m., at the De Anza Park Recreation Building, corner of Ticonderoga and Lime in Sunnyvale.
The league is open to boys and girls ages 4-18 (as of Aug. 1) and there are programs for both recreational and competitive players.
The registration fee ranges from $60-$90, depending on age and program. Players must provide a copy of their birth certificate, a 1-inch photo of themself, the registration fee and the name of their doctor at the signup.

Soccer tryouts
The Sunnyvale Spartans, a boys soccer team that competes in the CYSA Class 1 division, is looking for players for the fall season. Boys born after July 31, 1989, are eligible.Call 408.720.1882.
Wrestling club
The Sunnyvale Wrestling Club will hold practice sessions every Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7:30 p.m., in the wrestling room at Fremont High School. Call Fremont coach Bobby Soto at 522-2400, ext. 350.
Holy City Race
The annual Holy City Race, a 9.1-mile run through the Santa Cruz Mountains, will be held on June 25, 7:30 a.m. The cost is $3 per runner. The event begins in Holy City on Old Santa Cruz Highway, opposite Redwood Estates. Call 408.435.2820 or 408.866.2365.
