Bay Hall of Fame Grants Awarded
The Sunnyvale Swim Club and the Sunnyvale Serra Little League will be among those area sports organizations receiving a grant for athletic equipment from the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame will distribute more than $135,000 in grants. Along with the Sunnyvale Swim Club and Serra Little League, organizations receiving grants will be the Boys and Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (Northside, Southside, 4 Seasons and Eastside units), the Far West Wheelchair Athletic Association, the Morgan Hill Swim Club and the YMCA San Jose, Milpitas/Berryessa, Northwest and South Valley branches.
Through its Youth Fund, the Hall of Fame has donated more than $1.8 million in grants since 1981.
Youth Soccer
Teams are forming for the fall youth soccer season. Sunnyvale leagues now holding signups include:

Sunnyvale Spartans-- Players are needed for the class 1 boys under-12 team. Tryouts are now being held for the fall season for boys born after July 31, 1989. Call 408.720.1882.
