    Kudos to for pool vote

I would like to offer the Sunnyvale City Council my congratulations. During their meeting on June 20, they made history by endorsing our city's agreement with the Fremont Union High School District for a 50-meter pool.

I recognize that it was not an easy decision. There were, and still are, legitimate concerns on both sides of the issue. If everything was in place and there were no unknowns to solve, there would have been no problem. It would have been an easy decision, a "no-brainer," as such decisions are called.

Congratulations for a great decision. Rest assured that someday history will recognize you as having made a great contribution to the city, its citizens and its youth.
