    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Identity Theft-June 25, 300 block of Taylor Avenue. An unknown person used victim's debit card to make purchases over the Internet totaling over $3,000 as of June 25. The victim has had the card in her possession and has not allowed anyone else to use it.

    Grand Theft-June 22, 7 p.m., 200 block of Kiel Court. Officer responded to a report of a grand theft of equipment. An unknown suspect removed a steam engine from a shelf in a warehouse of a local business.

    Auto Burglary-June 25, 2 a.m., 500 block of Mathilda Avenue. Unknown suspects took two cell phones and a tool belt with assorted tools from inside the victim's vehicle.

    Possession of a Controlled Substance-June 24, 4:20 a.m., 100 block of Wolfe Road. An officer responded to an alarm set off at a local office building. The occupants were found in another office hiding from the police with packages of useable amounts of amphetamines. They were arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

    Residential Burglary-June 24, 1:30 a.m., 1200 block of Washington Avenue. An unknown suspect entered the residence, took a DVD player and two tapes.

    Residential Burglary--June 15, 7 a.m. 500 block of Crater Lake Court. Officer responded to a residential burglary. Suspects took items from a house after an unforced entry, without the owner's permission. They were not seen or heard.

    Drunk in Public/Disturbing the Peace--June 14, 2:40 a.m., 600 block of Mathilda Avenue. Officer responded to a call about a woman being too loud in a local hotel parking lot. Upon arrival the suspect was very confrontational and yelled, "I don't care if you take me to jail!" Suspect was also uncooperative in taking any sobriety tests and a small amount of marijuana was found in suspect's pocket. She was taken and booked into the county jail.
