Residents sought for commissions
The Sunnyvale City Council is extending its recruitment period for four of its advisory boards and commissions. There are vacancies on the Arts Commission, the Heritage Preservation Commission, the Personnel Board and the Planning Commission.
Board and commission members advise the City Council on a variety of issues prior to council votes on specific projects.
The deadline for applications is Aug. 22. For applications and specific eligibility requirements, call the volunteer services department at 730-7533. The council is scheduled to make its appointments in September.
Applicants must reside and be registered to vote in Sunnyvale. Current employees of the city and their relatives are not eligible to serve. Former city employees are ineligible to serve on the Personnel Board.
