Ramps to close at Lawrence and Hwy 101

The California Department of Transportation will be closing two on/off ramps at the Lawrence Expressway/Highway 101 interchange beginning July 11 at 8 p.m. and continuing until July 16 at 5 a.m.

Road crews will be raising the level of the on/off ramps to create a smoother connection. They will also widen the roadway to allow more cars to drive on the onramp.

These will be 24-hour-a-day closures.

The ramps to be closed are as follows:

Southbound Lawrence Expressway to the southbound 101 ramp, and northbound 101 to southbound Lawrence Expressway,

The following detours will be in effect:

Southbound Lawrence Expressway traffic will detour to Central Expressway eastbound, then turn left onto Bowers Avenue and proceed to 101; northbound 101 traffic will detour to Fair Oaks Avenue, proceed south over the overpass and return on southbound 101 to southbound Lawrence Expressway.
