The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.
Possession--July 4, 9:25 a.m. A 58-year-old male was arrested at the corner of Borregas and Maude avenues for driving while under the influence and being in possession of marijuana.
Car Theft--July 4, 2:34 a.m. Four male suspects led police on a car chase through east Sunnyvale after officers attempted to pull the car over. The driver stopped the car at the corner of Lawrence Expressway and Arques Avenue, where the suspects fled the scene by foot. Officers were able to apprehend one suspect. Officers later learned the car was stolen in San Jose.
Lewd Act--July 5, 10:15 p.m. A 44-year-old man was arrested at a residence in the 200 block of Weddell Drive for performing a lewd act with a minor.
Hit and Run--July 7, 10:54 p.m. A 21-year-old male was arrested for hit and run with a vehicle on Grape Avenue near Knickerbocker Drive.
Theft--July 7, 6:15 a.m. Unknown suspects made off with $570 worth of car stereo equipment when a car in the 1200 block of Washington Avenue was burglarized. Three other residents in the area reported car burglaries occurring the same evening, totaling more than $1,000 in stolen and damaged property.
Petty Theft--July 8, 9 p.m. Security guards at Montgomery Wards in the 200 block of Washington Avenue arrested a 43-year-old woman for shoplifting.
Under the Influence--July 9, 2:15 p.m. Officers arrested a male driver at the 1000 block of E. El Camino Real after the suspect showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Stolen Property--July 6, 7:45 p.m. A 24-year-old male was arrested in the 700 block of N. Mathilda Avenue for being in possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia.
