Cupertino hockey
Whether speeding across the asphalt, or gliding across the ice, Cupertino has the brand of hockey for you this summer.
Cupertino will offer roller hockey and street hockey leagues and clinics for youngsters ages 10-16 and for adults this summer. The cost is $40. For more information, call 295-2773 or 252-2668.
Ice hockey enthusiasts can sign up for an introductory class for adults that's held Sundays, 6:15-8 p.m., at the Ice Chalet at Vallco. Protective equipment is required. The cost is $135. For more information, call 446-2906.
Soccer camps
Santa Clara Soccer Camps will hold a series of camps for boys and girls, ages 6-17, at Santa Clara University.
Camp sessions include: Girls' Residential-- July 18-22, ages 14-17, field players and goalkeepers; Boys' Residential-- July 24-28, ages 14-17, field players and goalkeepers; July 29-Aug. 2, ages 10-13, field players and goalkeepers; Boys' Day Camp-- Aug. 3-7, ages 6-16, 9 a.m.-noon; Boys' Strikers Camp-- Aug. 3-7, ages 10-16, 1:30-4 p.m.; Boys' Goalkeeper Camp-- Aug. 3-7, ages 10-16, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Santa Clara Soccer Camps also features the Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League Team Development Program at the Morgan Hill Soccer Complex Aug. 10-14; and the Mt. Hamilton Youth Soccer League Camp at Cadwallader School, Aug. 3-7.

Santa Clara Baseball School
The annual Santa Clara Baseball School returns to Santa Clara University this summer, under the direction of Broncos head coach Mike Cummins and former Santa Clara player and coach Lou Lucas.
The remaining camp session, set for July 20-24, covers basic fundamentals and hitting, 9 a.m.-noon, $110, and pitching only, 1-2:30 p.m., $60.
The school features individualized instruction in playing defense, base running, sliding and hitting. Each camper receives a camp T-shirt.
Joining Cummins and Lucas on the camp staff this summer will be Santa Clara pitching coach Greg Gohr, a former Santa Clara mound star who spent four years in the major leagues with the Detroit Tigers and Anaheim Angels.
