    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Auto Burglary-July 8, 10:30 p.m., 600 block of Arcadia Terrace. A car burglary occurred in a local patrolled parking lot. A CD player and five CDs were found missing from the vehicle.

    Drug Possession-July 8, 10 p.m., 1200 block of Vienna Drive. A consent search revealed two baggies of methamphetamine. Also located were two glass pipes and a short straw used to ingest narcotics. Suspect was placed under arrest.

    Burglary/Fraud-July 2, 10 p.m., 100 block of East Arques Avenue. Suspect committed burglary and fraudulently used an access card at various local businesses. Suspect entered the businesses and picked out retail merchandise. He paid for the merchandise by signing fraudulently with the stolen card. Merchandise stolen was valued at $650.52. Suspect was apprehended and taken to the county jail.

    Petty Theft-July 1, 4:45 a.m., 200 block of Lawrence Station Road. The suspect hid a number of items while on the property of local store. He paid for other items and not for the concealed ones. Suspect was contacted outside store and handcuffed.
