Hidden Villa kicks off its capital campaign drive

Hidden Villa of Los Altos Hills is beginning its capital campaign drive with a celebration on Saturday, July 25.

Over the next three years, Hidden Villa will try to raise $6 million to improve its facilities, enhance programs and protect the organization's future.

Hidden Villa is a 1,600 acre organic farm and wilderness preserve in Los Altos Hills. According to Judith Steiner, Hidden Villa's executive director, many Sunnyvale school children take part in the organization's day camps and classes in environmental education.

Steiner said that Hidden Villa has a secondary purpose as well, which is to promote awareness of the area's multicultural society through its camps.

New programs at Hidden Villa has include a family camp and a ropes course. The organization also recently bought a new van to transport children to day camps.

The July 25 kick-off party will feature music, activities for kids, refreshments, animal visits and farm demonstrations.

The party is free and open to the public, but because of limited parking, reservations are needed. Call 650-949-8650 for more information.
