Burglary, petty theft--July 17, 5 p.m., on All America Way. Two men, ages 21 and 24, were arrested and booked into San Jose Main Jail. The 24-year-old was also charged with possession of stolen property and burglary tools.
Grand theft--July 17, 7:21 p.m., on Kifer Road. A 19-year-old woman was also charged with embezzlement. She was arrested and held at Elmwood County Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail.
Battery on peace officer--July 16, 12:12 a.m., on Vienna Drive. A 56-year-old woman was also charged with delaying a peace officer. She was cited and released.
Burglary--July 15, 6:45 a.m., on California Avenue. Unknown person(s) forced entry into a computer retailer's company truck and stole a PowerBook, a PowerMac and a Performa, all of which were awaiting repairs. Loss was estimated at $900.
Petty theft with priors--July 14, 3:06 p.m., on Washington Avenue. A man entered a department store, placed two pieces of jewelry and two pairs of girl's underwear in his coat pocket, left without paying for them and was apprehended by store security. The man, who'd been convicted of petty theft six times in the last two years, was booked into main jail.
Robbery--July 13, 1 a.m., on San Tomas Expressway. Two men, ages 21 and 22, were also charged with assault with a stun gun and held at main jail pending a bail hearing.
Armed robbery--July 13, 1 a.m., on Couer d'Alene. The victim was assaulted by two suspects, who stole his backpack containing more than $800 in cash. He chased them into San Jose, where they were stopped by police and arrested. The victim's property was recovered.
Trespassing--July 13, 4:51 p.m., on Carroll Street. A man who had been told by management and security not to return to his apartment complex was found in his room and placed under citizen's arrest. Officers cited and released him.
Petty theft--July 13, 8:43 p.m., on El Camino Real. After using an ATM machine inside a grocery store, a man took a container of pasta and a container of potato salad off the shelf, put them in his coat pocket and left without paying for them. Estimated value of the two items was $3.49.
Grand theft auto--July 12, 3:45 a.m., on Weddell Court. Police arrested two suspects occupying a 1990 Toyota 4-Runner that had been reported stolen. The vehicle was released to its owner at the scene. One suspect, an 18-year-old man, was held at main jail pending a bail hearing.
