Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department
Domestic Violence--July 8, 9:45 p.m., 800 block of San Justo Court. The suspect got into an argument with the victim inside their residence. The suspect struck the victim on the face two to three times causing injury to the victim. The suspect was arrested and transported to county jail.
Attempted Burglary--July 8, 4 a.m., 1100 block of Morse Avenue. An attempted burglary occurred at a local residence. A suspect entered the victim's residence through the patio area of the apartment. While detained, he exhibited signs of symptoms of being under the influence and was also found to be in violation of probation stipulations. Suspect was arrested and taken to county jail.
Vandalism--July 15, 5 a.m., 500 block of Cheyenne Drive. An officer contacted a security guard regarding graffiti that occurred some time over the weekend on a local school campus. The writing was found on the boys' bathroom door on a building north of the office.
Car Pursuit--July 8, 2:20 a.m., Borregas Avenue and Java Drive. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and led police on a pursuit. The pursuit terminated at Highway 85 and Almaden Expressway, and the driver was apprehended.
