The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.
Hazardous waste spill--July 13, 5:32 p.m. A man working on the 300 block of Lastreto Avenue was cited for dumping his radiator water and several gallons of antifreeze into the gutter. An emergency team was sent to clean up the spill.
Petty theft--July 20, 4:10 a.m. Officers responded to an auto break-in in progress in the 1500 block of Heron Avenue. They were later able to arrest the suspects and return $230 worth of stolen property.
Auto theft--July 19, 4:25 a.m. Two males were arrested following a traffic stop at the corner of El Camino Real and Lawrence Expressway for driving a stolen vehicle, being in possession of burglary tools, being under the influence of a controlled substance, prowling and resisting arrest.
Theft--July 22, 10 p.m. A customer inside the Pak 'n Save on the 700 block of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road filled his shopping cart with bottles of alcohol and baby formula. The customer tried to run out of the store with the cart, where security guards arrested him and recovered the $1,165.72 worth of merchandise.
Felony--July 18, 7 p.m. An employee working for a store in the 2000 block of Town Center Lane was arrested after using a credit card left behind by a customer. The suspect charged $1,396.23 worth of merchandise to the card.
Assault--July 22, 11:33 p.m. An 18-year-old girl was arrested inside an apartment in the 100 block of Carroll Streeet for assault with a deadly weapon.
