    Public Safety

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Grand Theft-July 23, 6 p.m., 1100 block of Bernardo Avenue. Three parked children's tricycles were stolen from scene. The approximate price of goods stolen was $480. There are no suspects at this time.

    Petty Theft-July 24, 2 a.m., 2500 block of Town Center Lane. An unknown suspect took cellular telephone merchandise from local store without permission.

    Auto Burglary-July 24, 8 p.m., 800 block of Borregas Avenue. Suspect forcibly entered the victim's vehicle and removed property without knowledge or permission of the victim.

    False License Plates/Drug Possession-July 25, 9 p.m., corner of Calienta Drive and Johanna Avenue. An officer stopped a vehicle that was displaying a license plate from another vehicle. During the course of the investigation, the officer found less that 1 gram of marijuana in the driver's possession.

    Forgery-July 25, 10:40 p.m., 800 block of El Camino Real. Suspect went to local bank within grocery store to cash a forged check. The check had been altered to be made out to the suspect with the amount changed and the name re-signed. The bank teller recognized the check, and the suspect was arrested.

    Grand Theft-July 25, 8 p.m., 500 block of Potrero Avenue. Unknown suspects entered local business and removed laptop computers from various offices.
