    Potluck Picnic

The Asian American Parent Association is playing host to an annual Potluck Picnic for Newcomers on Sunday, Aug. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Queensboro Swim Club, 1138 Miller Ave. in San Jose. This is an opportunity for newcomers to the Fremont Union High School district to meet with teachers and school district officials. Topics for discussion include tips on communicating with teachers and school administrators to enhance the educational experience and on adjusting to a new environment.
