Wrong caption

The photo in last week's Sun was published with the wrong caption. The photo actually showed Troy Tulowitzki of the Sunnyvale National Little League major division all-stars turning a double-play at second base in a win in the district playoffs. Our apologies for the error.

Soccer camps

A summer soccer camp for youth ages 5-16 will be held Aug. 18-22 at De Anza Community College in Cupertino.

The cost is $90 for the camp that runs 9 a.m.-noon each day, $175 for the full-day camp and $100 for the advanced camp.

Adult sports

The Sunnyvale Recreation Department will accept applications through Aug. 20 for adult teams interested in playing basketball or softball this fall. Seasons begin Sept. 7.

The registration fee is $520 for basketball or $350 for softball (plus $10 for each non-resident in each sport).

Dammit Run returns

The Los Gatos Dammit Run returns for the 24th time on Aug. 16 when runners will take off from Los Gatos High School for a 5-mile run up to the face of Lexington Dam and back again.

Lasers basketball camps

The San Jose Lasers of the American Basketball League will hold a summer basketball camp for boys and girls at San Jose State University.

The camps, led by members of the Lasers and the team's coaching staff, will be held Aug. 18-21, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each day, for girls and boys in grades 3-8. The cost is $205 per player.

Kiwanis Classic

The annual Cupertino Kiwanis Classic golf tournament is set for Aug. 25 at the Saratoga Golf Course. The tournament is open to men and women, and is limited to the first 72 players who register.

There will be awards for the men's and women's low gross, low net and Calloway winners. The cost is $125 per player.

All-comers meets
