    Sunnyvale police seek car vandals

    The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety is looking for vandals responsible for breaking windows with large rocks and slashing tires on more than 50 automobiles on Aug. 6. A police spokesperson said officers started finding the vandalized vehicles at 4:20 a.m. in a 10-square-block area between El Camino Real, Homestead Road, Lawrence Expressway and South Wolfe Road. The damage was estimated at $20,000. Public safety currently has no suspects.

    The chamber holds a business mixer

    The next monthly member mixer for the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce will be held on Aug. 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Wild Palms Hotel, located at 910 E. Fremont Ave. The cost is free to Chamber members with a $10 charge for non-members. For more information, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 408.736.4971.
