Police receive calls about Drop Zone accident

    The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department

    Possession of Cocaine--Aug. 18, 11:14 p.m., Columbia Park. Police were suspicious of a parked car with one person inside. A search revealed cocaine in the suspect's pants pocket.

    Theft--Aug. 18, 3:50 p.m., 400 block of Pastoria Avenue. A police officer made a traffic stop and determined the 35-year-old male to be on probation for theft. During a search of his person, police found a check belonging to his roommate and another belonging to his neighbor. The suspect admitted he had stolen the checks.

    Possession of Drug Paraphernalia--Aug. 15, 2 p.m., 100 block of South Sunnyvale Avenue. While police attempted to serve a warrant, they found drug paraphernalia in the suspect's pocket.

    Auto Burglary--Between Aug. 14 and 15, 1100 block of West Olive. A suspect(s) forced entry to a vehicle parked in an underground parking lot by punching the right front lock and removed a stereo from the dashboard.

    Forced Robbery--Aug. 13, 12:34 a.m., 500 block of El Camino Real at Lucky's. A suspect entered the grocery store, took three bottles of alcohol, hid the items in his pants and exited the store. Four minutes later he returned and concealed more alcohol from the shelf and left the store again. When confronted by a store employee, the suspect struck the worker.
