Public Safety

The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department.

Possession--Aug. 15, 8 p.m. A 39-year-old male was arrested in the 1400 block of Tenaka Place for possession of heroin and a syringe.

Spousal Abuse--Aug. 20, 7:10 a.m. A 20-year-old male was arrested in an apartment in the 1000 block of Reed Avenue for spousal abuse and false imprisonment.

Stolen Vehicle--Aug.16, 2:25 a.m. A 33-year-old male was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle, driving while under the influence of alcohol, and driving with a suspended license. Bail was set at $55,000.

Theft--Aug. 19, 1:04 a.m. A car parked in the 900 block of E. Arques avenue was broken into and $2,210 worth of car stereo equipment was stolen.

Speed Contest--Aug. 18, 1:35 a.m. A resident witnessed two suspects racing their vehicles in the 1300 block of Geneva Drive and called police to the scene. As officers arrived, the drivers stopped the vehicles and the resident made a citizen's arrest. Officers booked both 18-year-old suspects and impounded their cars for 30 days.

Spousal Abuse--Aug. 17, midnight. A 35-year-old male in the 700 block of N. Mathilda avenue was arrested for spousal abuse, possession of a controlled substance and driving without a license.

Molestation--Aug. 20, 3 p.m. A 39-year-old male resident of San Francisco turned himself into police and was charged with child molesting.
