Public Safety
The following incidents were compiled from the log at the Sunnyvale Public Safety Department
Vandalism--Aug. 18, 12:45 a.m., 2500 block of Town Center Drive. The suspect struck the victim's vehicle with his right fist after a verbal confrontation.
Petty Theft--Aug. 14, 1 p.m., 2000 block of Arques Avenue. The suspect went inside a local store and removed items from the victim's shelves. He then concealed the items in his pocket and exited the store without paying. The loss prevention officer stopped the suspect outside the store and arrested him.
Auto Burglary--Aug. 15, 9 p.m., intersection of Ahwanee Avenue and San Pier Court. Suspect entered victim's vehicle. The suspect then removed the stereo from the dash and left the scene.
Auto Burglary--Aug. 18, 6 p.m., 100 block of Posito Terrace. Suspect removed property without permission of the owner. The suspect took the stereo out of the dash and a baby car seat.
Auto Burglary--Aug. 18, 5 p.m., 1000 block of Caribbean Drive. The victim's vehicle was parked while unknown suspects entered the vehicle and took items from the trunk and the interior.
