Bonnie Gradstein, coordinator of Safekids Firearms Safety Committee, shows off a gun lock that can be used for semi-automatics, revolvers, shotguns, and rifles. The locks are being given out for free and are available at any sheriff substation in San Mateo and Santa Clara County.

Cupertino resident Lauryn Kistner, 9, is fitted for a new, free bicycle helmet by Bob Hopkins, left, and Vivian Lock, both with the De Anza Optimist club. The helmets were donations from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department and given out at a booth run by the Cupertino and De Anza Optimist clubs. Approximately 150-200 helmets were given out at the Fair.
