Murphy Park community center holds free beginning square dance workshops
The city of Sunnyvale co-sponsors three free beginning square dance workshops for singles and couples on Sept. 11, 18 and 25 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The classes are held to make new friends, social contacts, and to have fun square dancing.

Sunnyvale Garden Club is meeting to get re-acquainted
Get re-acquainted with the Sunnyvale Garden Club, or become a new member, at a plant sale on Sept. 18 at 9:30 a.m.

St. Jude's Episcopal Church holds a discussion of ethical thinking on complex issues
Prof. Margaret R. McLean, Ph.D., of Santa Clara University, will lead a discussion about ethical thinking on complex issues, such as stem cell research and cloning, on Sep. 16 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the parish hall at St. Jude's Episcopal Church in Cupertino.
Prof. McLean serves on the California State Advisory Committee on Human Cloning, is director of the Applied Ethics Center at O'Connor Hospital in San Jose, and teaches ethics at Santa Clara University. She holds a doctorate in clinical pathology from the Medical college of Wisconsin and doctorate degrees from Berkeley and Luther Seminary.
The discussion is open to the public and child care is available at St. Jude's, 20920 McClellan Rd. For more information call 408.252.4166.
